Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

For the Donut Holes
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough such as Pillsbury Grands
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for coating
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
For the Glaze (Optional)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Whisk
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Open the can of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into 4 equal pieces.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the coating.
  4. Place the biscuit pieces in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Do not overcrowd the basket.
  5. Air fry for 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. While the donut holes are cooking, prepare the optional glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth. Add more milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
  7. Once cooked, carefully remove the donut holes from the air fryer. Immediately brush them with melted butter.
  8. Toss the buttered donut holes in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
  9. If using the glaze, drizzle it over the warm donut holes.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

For crispier donut holes, you can lightly spray the basket with cooking spray before adding the dough. Ensure the donut holes are not touching each other in the air fryer basket for even cooking.
