Method
- Prepare the peppers: Cut off the tops of the bell peppers. Remove the seeds and membranes from the inside. Set aside.
- Cook the meat: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Make the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, cooked rice, diced onion, diced bell pepper, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Stuff the peppers: Spoon the filling evenly into each prepared bell pepper.
- Air fry the peppers: Place the stuffed peppers in the air fryer basket. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the filling is heated through.
- Add cheese (optional): If using cheese, sprinkle it over the top of the stuffed peppers during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Serve: Carefully remove the stuffed peppers from the air fryer and serve hot.
Notes
You can use any type of ground meat or even a vegetarian filling. Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model and the size of your peppers.
