Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers

Make stuffed peppers quickly and easily in your air fryer. This recipe is perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients
  

For the Peppers
  • 4 Bell peppers any color, tops removed and seeds scooped out
For the Filling
  • 1 pound Ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup Cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup Diced onion
  • 1/4 cup Diced bell pepper from the tops you removed
  • 1/4 cup Marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
Optional Toppings
  • 1/2 cup Shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Prepare the peppers: Cut off the tops of the bell peppers. Remove the seeds and membranes from the inside. Set aside.
  2. Cook the meat: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Make the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, cooked rice, diced onion, diced bell pepper, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Stuff the peppers: Spoon the filling evenly into each prepared bell pepper.
  5. Air fry the peppers: Place the stuffed peppers in the air fryer basket. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the filling is heated through.
  6. Add cheese (optional): If using cheese, sprinkle it over the top of the stuffed peppers during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  7. Serve: Carefully remove the stuffed peppers from the air fryer and serve hot.

Notes

You can use any type of ground meat or even a vegetarian filling. Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model and the size of your peppers.
