Chicken
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 jar salsa your favorite kind
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

  • chopped cilantro
  • sour cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the salsa, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the salsa mixture evenly over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. If desired, top with shredded cheese during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with cilantro and sour cream if using.

Notes

This chicken is versatile and can be served with rice, tortillas, or a side salad. You can also shred the cooked chicken and use it in tacos or enchiladas.
