Method
- Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 30 minutes. This prevents it from burning on the grill.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400-450°F or 200-230°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, dill, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets, skin-side down, on the soaked cedar plank.
- Brush the herb and oil mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
- Carefully place the cedar plank with the salmon onto the preheated grill.
- Close the grill lid and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- Remove the cedar plank from the grill and let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can add other herbs like chives or thyme to the herb mixture. Serve with your favorite side dishes.
