Method
- In a jar or container, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir well to combine.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and maple syrup until smooth. Dollop this mixture on top of the oat mixture in the jar.
- Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or overnight.
- In the morning, stir the "frosting" into the oats. Add a splash more milk if you prefer a thinner consistency. Enjoy cold.
Notes
You can customize this recipe by adding chopped nuts, a sprinkle of extra cinnamon, or a drizzle of extra maple syrup before serving. For a richer flavor, you can also add a pinch of nutmeg or allspice.
