Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Roll the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching each other.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).
- If serving with marinara sauce, warm the sauce in a saucepan or microwave. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for a few minutes to heat through.
- Serve hot with your favorite pasta, as a sandwich filling, or on their own.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey or a mix of beef and pork for the ground beef. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
