Ingredients

For the Pretzel Treats
  • 24 Pretzel Rods
  • 12 oz White Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Shortening Optional, for smoother melting
  • 1/2 cup Red Sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup Blue Sprinkles

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the white chocolate chips and vegetable shortening (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
  3. Dip each pretzel rod into the melted white chocolate, coating about two-thirds of the rod. Let excess chocolate drip off.
  4. Place the chocolate-coated pretzel rods on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Immediately sprinkle the red and blue sprinkles over the wet chocolate before it sets.
  6. Let the pretzel rods cool completely at room temperature, or in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes, until the chocolate is firm.

Notes

You can also use milk chocolate or dark chocolate for dipping. For a different look, you can drizzle melted chocolate over the already-sprinkled pretzels.
