Ingredients

  • 6 cups popped popcorn store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup white candy melts
  • 24 candy eye balls

Equipment

  • Large microwave-safe bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spatula
  • Microwave
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Place the popped popcorn in a large microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows and butter to the bowl with the popcorn.
  3. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir well with a spatula. Microwave for another 30 seconds, or until marshmallows are melted and mixture is combined. Stir until everything is coated.
  4. Grease your hands lightly with butter or cooking spray. Shape the popcorn mixture into 12 small cups or bowls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Melt the white candy melts according to package directions. You can do this in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, or in a double boiler.
  6. Drizzle the melted candy over the popcorn cups to create a ghost-like appearance. Immediately place two candy eye balls onto the melted candy before it sets.
  7. Let the Ghost Popcorn Cups cool completely at room temperature for about 15 minutes, or until the candy coating is firm.

Notes

These Ghost Popcorn Cups are a fun and easy treat for Halloween parties. You can adjust the size of the cups based on your preference. For a different look, you can use black icing to draw ghost faces.
