Total Time 30 minutes
Servings: 4 crunchwraps
Course: Dinner
Cuisine: Mexican-American

Ingredients

For the Ground Beef
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup Water
For the Crunchwrap
  • 4 Large flour tortillas
  • 4 Taco-sized or small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Crushed tortilla chips
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 1/2 cup Salsa
  • 1 cup Shredded lettuce

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Spatula
  • Taco-sized or small flour tortillas
  • Large flour tortillas

Method

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  3. Warm the large tortillas slightly to make them pliable.
  4. Lay a large tortilla flat. On one half of the tortilla, layer the ingredients: start with a small tortilla, then add ground beef, cheese, crushed tortilla chips, sour cream, salsa, and lettuce.
  5. Fold the other half of the large tortilla over the filling to create a half-moon shape.
  6. Heat a lightly oiled skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the crunchwrap seam-side down and cook for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

Notes

You can customize your crunchwrap with other fillings like beans, corn, or different cheeses.
