Ingredients

For the Wings
  • 4 lbs chicken wings broken down into drummettes and flats
  • 1 Tbsp Head Country BBQ Championship Original Seasoning
  • 1 cup Head Country Honey BBQ Sauce
For the Dipping Sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1 Tbsp Head Country BBQ Championship Original Seasoning

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Large bowl
  • Small bowl

Method

  1. Preheat the grill to high heat, about 400˚F. Lightly oil the grates.
  2. Add the wings to a large bowl. Add the Head Country BBQ Championship Original Seasoning and toss to coat the wings evenly in the seasoning.
  3. Place the wings on the grill. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until the skin is crispy and they are cooked through. They should register 165˚F internally on a meat thermometer.
  4. In the final 5 minutes of cooking, brush the wings with 1/3 cup of the sauce, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. While the wings cook, make the dipping sauce by stirring together all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl until combined. Set the dipping sauce aside in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
  6. Remove the wings from the grill and add them to a large bowl. Toss to coat the wings in the remaining sauce.
  7. Serve the wings with the dipping sauce.
