Ingredients

For the Drumsticks
  • 2 lbs Chicken drumsticks
For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Large bowl
  • Tongs

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Whisk together to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl with the marinade. Toss to ensure each drumstick is well coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the drumsticks from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place the drumsticks on the preheated grill. Grill for about 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally with tongs, until the chicken is cooked through and has an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can also bake these drumsticks in an oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through.
