One Pan Honey Garlic Salmon

Ingredients
  

Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets 8 ounces each (225g) skin on or off, patted dry with paper towels
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika or smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 5 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Season the salmon fillets with paprika, salt, and pepper. Press the seasonings into the flesh.
  2. Melt butter in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon skin-side down first. Press the filets lightly with your spatula for full contact with the pan. Flip after a few minutes, then remove them to a plate when done.
  3. Keep the melted butter in the pan. Add the garlic, honey, water, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Cook for a couple minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.
  4. Return the cooked salmon filets to the pan. Cover them with sauce. Cook a couple more minutes until the glaze incorporates with the fish. Garnish with lemon slices and parsley, then serve.

Notes

To make the sauce spicy, add sriracha or cayenne pepper. You can keep leftover salmon for up to 4 days in the fridge. To freeze, wrap the filets tightly in plastic and freeze for up to 3 months.
