Peach Brown Sugar Cobbler

Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 6 cups peeled, sliced peaches fresh or frozen
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cold, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 9x13 inch baking dish
  • Large bowl
  • Whisk

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, 1/4 cup flour, and cinnamon. Toss gently to coat the peaches.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into the 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the 1 cup flour and brown sugar.
  5. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Stir in the milk until just combined. The topping will be crumbly.
  7. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the peach mixture in the baking dish.
  8. Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Let the cobbler cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
