Method
- Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, butter, and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Do not stir during the last minute of boiling.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and peanut butter until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Let the fudge cool completely at room temperature, then cut into squares.
