  4. Stir in the hot sauce, starting with 1 tablespoon and adding more to your preference. Stir until well combined.
  5. Once the queso is smooth and heated through, transfer it to a serving bowl. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Notes

This queso dip is best served warm. If making ahead, you can reheat it gently on the stovetop or in the slow cooker on a warm setting.
