A layered taco dip perfect for Taco Tuesday or any gathering. This recipe features refried beans, a creamy sour cream and cream cheese mixture, salsa, fresh vegetables, cheese, and black olives.

Ingredients
  

For the Dip
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar salsa
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 bunch chopped green onions
  • 1 small head iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (6 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained

Method
 

  1. Combine refried beans and taco seasoning in a medium bowl. Spread this mixture onto a large serving platter.
  2. In another medium bowl, mix sour cream and cream cheese. Spread this mixture over the refried beans.
  3. Top the cream cheese layer with salsa. Then, layer the chopped tomato, bell pepper, green onions, and shredded lettuce over the salsa.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the lettuce. Garnish the dip with the drained black olives.

Notes

This dip is best served chilled. You can prepare the layers ahead of time and assemble just before serving for the freshest taste.
