Slow Cooker Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite kind
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
For Serving
  • 6 hamburger buns

Method
 

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, or on high for 2 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the sauce in the slow cooker and stir to combine.
  6. Serve the pulled BBQ chicken on hamburger buns.

Notes

You can add your favorite toppings such as coleslaw or pickles.
