Ingredients

For the Veggies
  • 1 bunch Rainbow carrots peeled and halved lengthwise
  • 1 cup Mini sweet peppers halved lengthwise (plus a waddle cut-out)
  • 1 cup Snap Peas halved crosswise
  • 1 head Purple cauliflower cut into florets
  • 1 bunch Radishes thinly sliced
For the Dip and Accents
  • 1 container Veggie dip e.g., Heluva Good! French Onion Dip or hummus
  • 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese for beak cut-out
  • 2 Edible Eyes
Optional Additions
  • 1 bag Savory Thin Crackers or crackers of your choice
  • 1 bag Pretzel sticks for legs

Equipment

  • Large serving board or platter
  • Small bowl for dip

Method

  1. Arrange the carrots around the outer edge of your serving board, alternating colors. Overlap the carrots with a layer of mini sweet peppers and snap peas.
  2. Add a layer of cauliflower florets, followed by another row of mini sweet peppers. Place a small bowl of your chosen dip in the center of the board, in front of the peppers.
  3. Tuck snap peas into the back of the dip bowl. Arrange a row of alternating mini sweet peppers in front of the snap peas.
  4. Use the cheddar cheese to cut out a beak shape and place it on top of the dip. Add the edible eyes and a mini sweet pepper waddle to create the turkey's face on the dip.
  5. Place the sliced radishes on the sides of the board, under the veggie arrangement, to resemble feathers. Fill the space in front of the dip bowl with crackers.
  6. Finish by inserting pretzel sticks in front of the dip bowl to create the turkey's legs.

Notes

This veggie tray is designed for assembly just before serving to maintain freshness. You can prepare the cut-outs and wash/chop the vegetables ahead of time and store them separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator.
